Railway shuts 7 halt stations in Trichy over non-viability

Being commercially unviable, the Southern Railway has shut down the seven halt stations in Trichy railway division. Trichy? Lalgudi and Trichy- Riddhachalam passenger trains will not stop at Mandurai. The Katpadi?Villupuram, Tirupati? Villupuram, Katpadi- Villupuram and Villupuram- Tirupati passenger trains will not stop at Teli station. Mayiladuthurai- Tiruvarur and Mayiladuthurai? Mannargudi passenger trains will not stop at Manganallur while Villupuram? Madurai passenger trains will not stop at Meppuliyur. Mayiladuthurai- Trichy and Mayiladuthurai? Thanjavur passenger will not halt at Malliyam. Trichy? Karaikal, Nagore- Trichy and Thanjavur? Karaikal passenger trains will not halt at Mariamman Kovil station. Katpadi? Villupuram and Tirupati? Villupuram passengers will not stop at Mugaiyur.
