India adds 1.5 GW of solar PV capacity

India's cumulative installed solar power capacity stands at 26 GW after 1.5 GW of fresh photovoltaic (PV) capacity was added in the third quarter. <p></p> <p>This is an increase from the 1.4 GW in the second quarter. The total installed capacity increased by 53 per cent YoY from the 17-GW at the end of September 2017. In terms of generation, the solar parks' output stood at 8,399 kWh in the July-September quarter.</p>
