India and Japan sign loan agreement

A loan agreement has been signed between India and Japan for the construction of the Turga Pumped Storage (I) project worth Rs 18.17 bn. <p></p> <p>The project is expected to contribute to the industrial development and improve the living standard in West Bengal. Besides, it will also strengthen the fluctuation in supply and demand of power. The partnership also consolidates the strategic and global partnership between the two countries.</p>
