Centre clears Rs.1 bn projects in state

Due to effective coordination and persuasion of various developmental projects with the Centre by the state government, the Centre has cleared three more proposals for Himachal Pradesh worth over Rs 1 bn.

<p>While Rs 500 mn has been sanctioned for Swan river channelisation project in Una district, which would check the soil erosion, reclaim land and facilitate the farmers of the district; Rs 300 mn has been approved for the sewerage treatment plant of Poanta Sahib in Sirmaur district. </p>
