Government gives nod to Pune-Mumbai Hyperloop project

Aiming to cut down the travel time between Pune and Mumbai to 25 minutes, the Maharashtra Government has approved the Hyperloop project. The bidding will reportedly be held under the Swiss challenge method, where the government will be allowing global firms to bid for the project and challenge the original proponents of the endeavour, Virgin Hyperloop One. The project is a JV between the Maharashtra Government and Virgin Hyperloop.
