Surat railway station?s redevelopment to begin by 2019

The redevelopment of Surat railway station is expected to commence by January 2019. As reported, the Indian Railways will be providing rights to 8.75 lakh sq m area for 90 years to the company that bags the bid. The redeveloped station will be turned into a world-class multi-modal transport hub, which will include a swanky railway station, big ticketing hall, a bus terminal, wide station lobby, and a modular passenger-friendly concourse, to name a few.
