CE sales to remain high

The latest Off-Highway Research report forecasts a stable global market for construction equipment (CE) in 2019, similar to 2018. The worldwide equipment demand grew by 27 per cent in 2017, after a lull period of 2012 to 2016. Further double-digit growth in 2018 took the global market to one million unit sales with a retail value of almost $100 billion (?87.7 billion). While the volume achieved in 2018 is expected to represent the peak of the current cycle, equipment sales in 2019 are forecast to remain close to last year?s levels, according to the forecast by Off-Highway Research.
