Dynapac inaugurates its new manufacturing facility in Pune

Dynapac India inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Pune for its road construction equipment. The plant located at Pulgaon, Pune spans over 5.5 acres and has a production capacity of 1,200-1,500 units. With the new plant, Dynapac aims to boost up the sales in the market. In 2018, the brand manufactured 750 units in India.

Currently Dynapac has a market share between 12-15 per cent in the sector. Dynapac started manufacturing of soil compactors in India in 2008 and has since expanded the range to a full line of soil compactors and asphalt rollers to support the Indian and export markets.

With 10 years of experience in manufacturing in India, it moves to a new integrated facility in Pune with increased production capacity that will strengthen the group presence in India.

In India, Dynapac offers product design and development with competence centre along with both local sourcing and support of global sourcing teams. It has also established a distribution centre with sales and service support.

Both soil compactors and asphalt rollers are produced at the Pune factory. The soil compactors are between 10-12 tons and will serve both the Indian market as well as being exported. The double-drum asphalt rollers will be built in two segments: one small tandem roller of 1.6 tons and one segment including rollers between 7-9 tons. Like the soil compactors, these are both for the local market as well as for other markets.

?This investment is a great opportunity for the Fayat Group and its customers, as Dynapac is a key player in the road construction equipment market with a highly recognised brand,? said Jean-Claude Fayat, President of the Fayat Group. ?Dynapac has an excellent strategic place in our Group and we plan on growing and expanding its presence and product offering. We will leverage its expertise and technologies together with our existing portfolio to continuously develop equipment that closely addresses our customers? needs,? he added.
