Ravi Kumar takes over as new Secretary General of IPPTA

Indian Private Ports & Terminals Association (IPPTA) announced the appointment of R Ravi Kumar as the new Secretary General of the association. Kumar has spent over 40 years in the maritime and port industry having worked with various public and private entities like the Ministry of Shipping, JNPT, VCTPL and JM Baxi Corporate Office. He brings with him vast experience and knowledge, specifically on private public partnership projects and Port Policy.

IPPTA is the apex body that represents the interests of the private ports and terminals throughout India. IPPTA, which includes many private terminals, represents the views of its members to government, regulatory bodies, other industry associations and stakeholders who have an interest in this vital industry. IPPTA works with all stakeholders to identify ways in which the industry may best serve the interests of India?s fast growing economy and to ensure that private ports and terminals play a major role in developing the country?s industrial and logistics policies.
