APM Terminals Pipavav Ensures Smooth Operations During Lockdown

The APM Terminals Pipavav Port has managed to successfully run operations 24X7 during the current nationwide lockdown due to the concerted efforts of all the stakeholders, the company informed in a release.

The port operations were proceeding safely and efficiently despite some challenges. The port handled over 35 vessels and more than 175 rakes since the lockdown without any delay. The port had created additional yard space and was working with extended logistics partners to ensure the smooth flow of goods and help address any emergent supply chain needs.

The company especially expressed its gratitude to the local administration and customs department for taking pre-emptive steps to facilitate the quick movement of cargo.
