Union Cabinet Approves Leasing Out 3 Airports Under PPP to Adani Enterprises

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the proposal for leasing out three airports, viz. Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) through the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The Union Cabinet accorded its approval for leasing of the three AAI airports for operation, management and development to M/s Adani Enterprises Ltd, who is declared as the successful bidder in global competitive bidding for a period of 50 years.

These projects will bring efficiency in service delivery, expertise, enterprise and professionalism, apart from harnessing the needed investments in the public sector.
