Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering & Construction Wins 7 NSCI Honours for Construction Safety

The National Safety Council of India (NSCI) conferred Shapoorji Pallonji?s Engineering & Construction (SP E&C) division with seven awards in the buildings and non-building categories for construction safety.

The NSCI Safety Awards recognise and reward organisations in the construction sector for their meritorious Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) performance and commitment to reduce workplace injuries, implementations of the best OSH practices and encourage continual improvements.

In Group-A, SP E&C projects won the first level Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar, second-level Shreshtha Suraksha Puraskar, third level Suraksha Puraskar and fourth level Prashansha Patra. SP E&C also won the Suraksha Puraskar in Group-B.

On receiving the prestigious awards, Alok Srivastava, Vice President & Corporate Safety Head of SP E&C said, ?We are committed to ensuring workplace safety and welfare of our workers. The recently concluded event was organised via a virtual conclave on OHS and fire safety and safety awards, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The awards were presented to the winners by Lalit R Gabhane, Director General, NSC, Arvind R Doshi, Vice Chairman, NSC, Bernie Doyle, Secretary-General, Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO) & President & Chairman, National Safety Council of Australia and Sankar Shah, Vice Chairman, NSC.
