MARVELLOUS EXECUTER

Under the guidance of Arjun Dhawan, Director & Group CEO, HCC, has completed what is being touted as the longest rail-cum-road bridge in the country. The Bogibeel bridge was recently dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The strategic 4.9-km-long superstructure, constructed entirely by HCC, is expected to provide connectivity to nearly 5 million people residing in Upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. What’s more, it is also the first fully-welded Warren truss girder type steel bridge in the country. As Dhawan shares, “Not only has an incremental launching technique for superstructure erection been used for the first time in India, it is also the world’s longest incrementally launched steel bridge. HCC is proud to create such marvels for the nation.” While the Bogibeel Bridge is an engineering masterpiece that has many technical firsts to its name, for Dhawan and HCC it is yet another distinction in world-class construction.
