Nine cos have bagged contracts for the construction of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway

With its focus being to achieve timely completion, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded nine of the 40 packages of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. As reported, this involves a construction cost of Rs 900 billion.

As reported, the nine companies that have been successful in bagging the contracts for the expressway include:

  • Patel Infra
  • Ashoka Buildcon
  • Sadbhav Engineering
  • Apco Infra
  • Kundu Construction Company (KCC Buildcon)
  • CDS Construction
  • Gawar Construction
  • IRB Infra
  • IRCON

In has been known that the Centre and NHAI are working out the various models that can be adopted to award the remaining 31 packages of the project. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is partly being funded through the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).
