Lockdown impact: CREDAI Pune writes to Maha govt
CREDAI?s letter states that the site offices and construction activities of realtors are allowed, but the head offices have been asked to stay shut?hampering work because allied operations run primarily from the head offices.
The letter mentioned that several verticals such as marketing, sales, bills recovery, payment of labourers and suppliers need office spaces to function properly.
CREDAI Pune Metro, which is an association of builders and promoters in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal areas, has around 1,400 members.
Over 5,000 construction projects in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) had come to a halt due to the Covid-induced lockdown last year.
As the so-called second wave of the pandemic strikes a repeat of the health crisis in the state, especially in Pune, Maharashtra government has clamped down restrictions announcing weekend lockdown and night curfew across the state. Pune Municipal Corporation has also ordered the closure of all establishments and markets except the essential services shops till April 30.
