It will provide real-time information and data of infrastructure projects and help in better coordination.

Gati Shakti is also a symbol of the government's focus on infrastructure building to promote economic growth.

The ministry will approve the master plan on Wednesday, followed by the launching by PM Narendra Modi. According to the sources, the master plan will be launched in October this year.

In line with Gati Shakti, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has finalised a blueprint of a multimodal logistics park in partnership with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The ministry will work as a nodal agency for logistics parks and work in association with the government and other state agencies for executing the warehousing facilities.

Bids will be invited from the logistics firms to set up multimodal facilities in various states of India. The companies will have to submit their bids in 90-120 days, and the highest bidder will win the project.

To participate in the bidding, companies' net worth should be equivalent to 25% of the total project cost. The multimodal logistics facilities will be executed on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis with a project completion deadline of two years.
