Dalmia Cement plans 2 mt cement plant in Bokaro at Rs 577 cr

On Friday, Jharkhand Government told the media that Dalmia Cement will set up a 2 million tonne facility at Jharkhand's Bokaro at an evaluated cost of Rs 577 crore.

The Jharkhand government has made available 16 acres of land for the project to the firm at Balidih in Bokaro according to the Memorandum of Understanding within the timeframe and the lease deed has been implemented. The firm will invest Rs 577 crore in the development of the plant..

The work on the project will begin in November, and the 2 million tonne plant is scheduled to be made in a year, the statement added..

Eyeing to bring big-ticket investments and make Jharkhand a preeminent hub for the production of electric vehicles, among others, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had earlier proposed sops and facilities to mega industrial players comprising Tatas, Vedanta, SAIL, NTPC and Maruti Suzuki.
