Rs 33.97 bn sanctioned for two road projects in J&K
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has approved two road projects for Jammu and Kashmir with a budgetary allocation of Rs 33.97 billion. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, announced this decision on Twitter.Development work of 4/6-lane access control expressway from Kunjwani to Sidhra section of NH-44 and Domel to Katra district (Phase II-Package XVII) has been sanctioned under Bharatmala Pariyojana in Jammu & Kashmir with a budget outlay of Rs 25.74 billion, said Gadkari in a tweet.
In another tweet, he said, “Construction of four-lane with paved shoulder of Srinagar-Baramula-Uri section of NH-01 on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model has been sanctioned in Jammu & Kashmir under project Beacon, Border Roads Organisation with a budget outlay of Rs 8.24 billion.
