SJVN, Solarworld ink pact to build two solar projects

SJVN entered into a pact with Solarworld Energy Solutions to build two solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh for Rs 690.75 crore, which will have a total generation capacity of 125 MW.

SJVN entered into an EPC contract for two projects namely a 75 MW Solar Project at Gurah district Jalaun and a 50 MW Solar Project at Gujrai district Kanpur Dehat with Solarworld Energy Solutions.

Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, said in the statement that these Rs 690.75 crore EPC contracts include end-to-end delivery of the commissioned solar plant to SJVN, including comprehensive operation and maintenance of these solar PV plants for two years.

The contract value for a 75 MW solar project is Rs 410.75 crore, while for a 50 MW solar project is Rs 280 crore. Both projects are scheduled to be commissioned in April 2023.
