Shriram Properties' sales bookings rise 26 per cent

In the June quarter, Shriram Properties reported a 26 per cent increase in sales bookings at Rs 3.13 billion due to increased demand and a small base impact. The Bengaluru-based company reportedly stated that its volume-based sales bookings increased by 20 per cent to 0.66 million square feet in the first quarter of the 2022–23 fiscal year from 0.55 million square feet in the same period last year.

Housing sales were impacted by the second wave of the pandemic in the April–June quarter of the previous fiscal year. When compared to the same quarter last year, when client money were collected overall, they increased 34% per cent YoY to Rs 3.24 billion from Rs 2.42 billion. The average sales realisation rose to Rs 4,694 per square feet from Rs 4,363 per square feet.
