SJVN secures 200 MW solar project in Maharashtra for Rs 12 billion

Through MSEDCL's e-reverse auction, the company has acquired a 200 MW solar power project.

SJVN won the tariff-based competitive bidding procedure of the MSEDCL and received the full quoted capacity of the 200 MW solar project at a price of Rs 2.90 per unit on a build-own-and-operate basis.

SJVN will develop this ground-mounted solar installation through an EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contract anywhere in Maharashtra.

The estimated cost of this project's development is Rs 12 billion.

After the power purchase agreement, which will soon be inked between SJVN and MSEDCL, is signed, the project will be completed in 18 months.
