Adani to set up alumina refinery in Odisha

As Gautam Adani, Asia's richest man, adds another business to his rapidly expanding empire, Adani Enterprises plans to invest $5.2 billion in the establishment of an alumina refinery in the eastern Indian state of Odisha. According to a Twitter post by the office of the state's Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, the flagship company of the Adani Group has received approval to build the refinery and a captive power plant in Rayagada for an investment of 416.53 billion rupees ($5.2 billion). The refinery will have a capacity of 4 million tonnes per year.
