Posco and Greenko partner green hydrogen production

Greenko ZeroC (GZC), a division of the Greenko Group and John Cockerill, has partnered with Korean steel manufacturer Posco Holdings to jointly produce and export green hydrogen/ammonia in export-oriented special economic zones.

The cooperation will also look into options for the production of renewable energy in India and the use of steel products from Posco in the construction of infrastructure for possible projects.

Posco has stated that it intends to become carbon neutral by the year 2050 and is investigating and developing business models for hydrogen.
