Andhra government greenlights green projects

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sanctioned Rs 810 billion in investments in the state's green energy sector. The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) met on Monday, with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chairman.

The Chief Minister stated that green energy would change the face of the state's economy, creating job possibilities for youth and assisting farmers in increasing their production and earnings. Significant industries are moving in this direction.

The Board of Directors has approved six green energy projects totaling Rs 810.43 billion, employing 20,130 people, as well as two pumped hydro storage power projects in Somasila and Erravaram.
