National Highways Logistics Management and JNPT sign MoU for a MMLP

In presence of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush Shri Sarbananda Sonowal a MoU was signed between National Highways Logistics Management and JNPT for the development of Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Jalna in Maharashtra.

Union MoS General VK Singh, Union MoS and Jalna MP Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Union MoS Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Maharashtra State Ministers Shri Abdul Sattar, Shri Uday Samant and Sandipan Bhumare and MPs were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Shri Gadkari said acting as a catalyst for the development of the Marathawada region, Jalna MMLP will serve as a functional dry port of the region and steel and allied industries depending on scrap, fruits and vegetables processing units, seed industries and cotton sector would hugely benefit from this development.

He said it would connect Samruddhi Marg and Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridors. The Minister said this infrastructure will promote the export of Agro products and also transform Jalna into an automobile hub in the Marathwada region.
