Indian Railways to revamp Bengaluru Cantonment station

After the commissioning of Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru under South Western Railway, the Indian Railways has decided to revamp the Bengaluru Cantonment station with modern features and the facilities. Proposed developments include congestion-free non-conflicting entry and exit to the station premises and segregation of arrivals and departures.

The new premises will have an adequate concourse without overcrowding, integration with both sides of the city and with other modes of transport like bus, metro rail, etc wherever feasible, and user-friendly international signage. The new revamped Bengaluru Cantonment station will have a well illuminated circulating area and sufficient provision for drop-off, pick-up and parking, etc.
