Adani commissions world's largest hybrid power plant

Adani Green Energy announced the completion of the world's largest wind-solar power plant, with a capacity of 600 MW, in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The plant has a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India at Rs 2.69 per kwh. The project, which consists of 600 MW solar and 150 MW wind plants, will not only reduce renewable energy power intermittency, but will also assist the country in making the best use of its transmission network. AGEL will open India's first hybrid power plant, with a capacity of 390 MW, in Jaisalmer in May 2022. This Jaisalmer plant was reportedly India's first wind and solar hybrid power generation plant.
