MoRTH announces Campaign 2.0 to dispose pending references

On Sunday, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways launched a special campaign 2.0 for Swachhta and the disposal of pending references. The campaign is being run by the ministry and its subordinate offices, which include the NHAI, NHIDCL, IRC, and IAHE. The cleanliness drive is being carried out at approximately 1,200 locations under the special campaign 2.0, including all MoRTH, NHAI, and NHIDCL field offices, toll plazas, and roadside amenities.

At Transport Bhawan, the Swachhta promise was presented to the ministry's personnel and staff by the secretary of RTH, Giridhar Aramane. He urged all the officers to make sure that all outstanding references from various categories—MP references, PMO references, public grievances, Parliament assurances, etc.—were resolved throughout the campaign. Additionally, he instructed the ministry and all of its subordinate offices to adhere closely to the guidelines on the maximum of 4 layers of the submissions channel while making decisions.

To launch off the campaign, NHAI and NHIDCL distributed the cleanliness pledge to all of their officers and employees across the country.

To ensure a corruption-free system, the secretary advised officers to maintain absolute integrity and utmost cleanliness in all official dealings. Officials should be responsive to the needs of the general public and work to resolve their complaints as soon as possible. During the campaign period, the Secretary directed that special efforts be made to keep NH potholes free and Right of Ways (RoW) clean.

The secretary recognised the housekeeping staff's contribution to keeping the office premises neat and clean and presented them with mementos. He, along with officers and staff, took part in 'Shramdaan' at Transport Bhawan. He also inspected the overall cleanliness of the Transport Bhavan premises.
