Indore India's cleanest city for 6th time in a row

Indore was named India's cleanest city for the sixth time in a row, with Surat and Navi Mumbai coming in second and third place, respectively, in the Central government's annual cleanliness survey, which also named Madhya Pradesh the best-performing state. In the category of best performing states, Madhya Pradesh is followed by Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, respectively, according to the 'Swachh Survekshan Awards 2022', which were announced on Saturday. Chhattisgarh was ranked first last year. Tripura was ranked first in the state category with fewer than 100 urban local bodies, followed by Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. While Indore and Surat remained the top two cities, Vijaywada fell to third place to Navi Mumbai. Indore, Surat, Navi Mumbai, GVM Visakhapatnam, Vijaywada, Bhopal, Tirupati, Mysore, New Delhi and Ambikapur are the top ten cities.
