Noida gear up for three new Metro corridors

The authorities in Noida and Greater Noida are planning to expand Metro rail connectivity in the twin industrial cities for the benefit of residents living in outlying areas. According to sources, the process of directly connecting the Aqua Line with the Blue Line to provide a seamless commute from Greater Noida to Delhi has also begun. Three Metro corridors are currently under construction. Work on these three corridors was progressing slowly due to the need for approvals from various agencies in Uttar Pradesh and the Union government. The Uttar Pradesh government approved the detailed project report (DPR) for the 14.5-km Aqua Line extension corridor in 2019, but the Union government has yet to give its final approval, according to officials.
