JSW Energy to build 960 MW hydro pump storage facility in Maharashtra

A contract between SW Energy and the Maharashtra government calls for the construction of a 960 megawatt (MW) hydro pump storage facility in the state's Raigarh area.

JSW Energy announced that hydro pumped storage is a proven technology that offers sufficient peaking power reserves, dependable grid operation, energy balancing, and storage capacity.

JSW Energy withheld information about the projected project's finances. The business has been swiftly procuring essential resources for Hydro PSPs in numerous resource-rich states for projects with a targeted capacity totaling up to 10 GW through its "green growth vehicle," JSW Neo Energy.
