Holcim introduces a paradigm based on science for 1.5°C

In conjunction with its partnership with the Science Based Targets programme, Holcim has unveiled the first 1.5°C science-based framework for decarbonizing the cement sector (SBTi). The SBTi independently created this framework in conjunction with an advisory panel made up of representatives from academia, civic society, and business. In order to accelerate the framework’s adoption, Holcim is collaborating with organisations at Climate Week NYC and has submitted its 2030 targets for limiting global warming to 1.5°C for SBTi approval.
