WR commissions new foot over-bridge at Mumbai’s Khar Road

A statement issued by WR said the new FOB has been commissioned and opened for public use on the south side of the station, after various upgradation and augmentation works. The new FOB is 44 metres long and 6 m wide. It has been constructed at a cost of Rs 45.50 million on replacement account, as per IIT audit report.
With this, a total of 11 new FOBs have been commissioned in the financial year 2022-23 between Churchgate and Dahanu Road, taking the total to 144. These efforts will help control trespassing as well as overcrowding on bridges, etc. WR has urged passengers to not risk their lives by trespassing on railway tracks.
