Lulu Group to invest Rs 30 bn for India’s biggest mall

UAE-based billionaire Yussuf Ali's Lulu Group International is expanding into Gujarat, where it would invest Rs 30 billion to build India's largest retail mall in Ahmedabad. The Rs 30 billion shopping complex, which would feature all modern amenities, will begin building early next year. This will be Lulu Group's third retail mall in the country, following Kochi (Kerala) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), and would employ 6,000 people directly and over 12,000 indirectly in the state. The acquisition of land for this project is nearing completion, and the foundation stone for this gigantic shopping complex will be set early next year.
