Jammu Gets 1.5 MW Solar Power Plant

Vibgyor Energy has recently installed a 1.5 MW solar power plant in Jammu's SIDCO industrial complex. Waaree Energies supplied the high-performance 445 Wp Mono PERC solar panels used to power the project. Kotak Mahindra Bank provided non-recourse funding for the project.

The Administrative Council (AC), led by Lt Gen Manoj Sinha, recently approved the expansion of 200 MW of grid-connected roof solar energy plants in Jammu City. These plants desired to take full advantage of the solar irradiance in the high-resource area of Jammu and Kashmir. They appeared in Jammu as part of the 'Solar City Mission’ under the Central Government's Grid-connected Roof Solar Scheme, Phase-II suggested for the domestic market.
