Vital link road in Kohima opens for public use

Nagaland Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Advisor Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire inaugurated the link road between Lower PWD and Midland ward in Nagaland’s capital Kohima last week.

Speaking on the occasion, Kire expressed happiness over the completion of the project and hoped that the public would use the facility well. He said travellers along this route should have a regard for each other, as the road, though not wide, is for two-way traffic. The opening of this link road will help ease traffic in Kohima, he said.

Kopelo Krome, chairman, Midland Panchayat, Kohima described the opening of this link road between Lower PWD and Midland as a “dream come true.”

Ato Puro, who spoke on behalf of Lower PWD panchayat and PWD Youth Organisation, thanked Dr Nicky and Er K Theunuo for putting utmost efforts towards to accomplishment of the project.

The function was chaired by Kezhochole Rhetso, general manager (planning) Kohima Smart City Development Limited and joint director UDD.
