Delhi-Dehradun Expressway; Delhi to Rishikesh in 3 hours

By December 2023, it is anticipated that the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, which will travel through numerous cities in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, will be finished. The work was originally scheduled to be finished in 2024, however the target date has since been changed to 2023.
After the expressway is built, it will take just 2-3 hours to go from Delhi to Dehradun instead of the current 5-6 hours. The expressway will connect Ghaziabad to Saharanpur.
The majority of the 210-kilometer Delhi-Dehradun Expressway's length will be in Uttar Pradesh. From Delhi, it will be a 12-lane highway, which would reduce the amount of traffic on the road. The expressway will be decreased to six lanes as the route continues. There will be 12 lanes on the 14- kilometer segment in Delhi and the 12-kilometer section in Ghaziabad.
Currently, the Delhi-Meerut Expressway is the main route commuters take to get to Dehradun. The Delhi-Meerut Expressway will experience less traffic as a result of the new expressway's construction.
Akshardham will serve as the expressway's starting point, and the first seven entry and exit points are located there.
Due to the increased connection, residents from Saharanpur, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Haridwar, Shamli, and Haryana would also benefit in addition to commuters from the NCR and Uttarakhand.
This expressway's top speed limit is 100 kilometres per hour. The expressway will assist visitors to Rishikesh, especially those coming from Delhi-NCR, since it will reduce travel time to just three hours. Additionally, the roadway will lessen traffic in the Delhi-NCR area.
