SJVN aims to complete Arun-3 hydro project in Nepal before deadline

During his visit to all work fronts of the project, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma thoroughly examined the ongoing progress of the dam, head race tunnel, surge shaft, and power house complex. He expressed his satisfaction with how the project's construction activities were going.
A number of meetings with all the construction companies involved in the project's four packages were also presided over by Sh. Nand Lal Sharma. He gave orders for all the organisations to collaborate in order to finish the generation project. Sh. Sharma also spoke to the workers and the representatives of the construction agencies during the visit. He urged them to work diligently and quickly to finish the project on time by December 2023 in order to avoid time and cost overruns. In light of the recent spike in the virus's spread in some regions of Asia, he urged all SJVN employees and representatives of contractors to adhere to safety procedures and exhibit COVID-appropriate behaviour at all times.
In Nepal's Arun river basin, SJVN is working on three hydroelectric projects totaling 900 MW: Arun-3, 669 Lower Arun, and 490 MW Arun-4.
