The progress that the municipal corporations of Gurgaon, Manesar, and Faridabad have made in integrating data and resolving objections pertaining to property tax data has been criticised by the Department of Urban Local Bodies (ULB). KK Varshney, Chief Town Planner, ULB instructed senior Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM), and Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) officials to resolve objections to the property tax survey on the same day they were filed.Since Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will review the status of the work on January 10, Varshney directed that the data integration of the old and new property IDs be completed by January 8th
In a review, the ULB department also discovered that the property tax survey of the MCG's recently extended limits has not yet been completed. The ULB minister has expressed his displeasure over the progress of data integration and the resolution of objections because the progress is not up to par after extensive discussion and examination of all districts' and ULBs' progress. It is alleged that major ULBs, such as the municipal corporations of Gurgaon, Faridabad, and Manesar, are moving slowly. Additionally, the property tax survey of properties within the extended limits of municipal corporations of Gurgaon and Faridabad is still pending, according to a letter sent to MCG, MCM, and MCF by the ULB department.
