UltraTech expands cement production capacity in Odisha

Ultratech cement, a large cement producer declared that its 1.5 MTPA brownfield cement grinding facility in Jharsuguda, Odisha, has been put into operation.

According to the corporation, this is a part of ongoing capacity expansion. The firm's annual cement production capacity in Odisha has expanded to 4.1 million tonnes (mtpa).

With this, the business's overall capacity for producing cement in India is currently 122.85 mtpa.

UltraTech Cement produces and distributes cement and cement-related products.

Despite a 19.5% increase in net sales to Rs 15,520.93 crore in Q3 FY23 compared to Q3 FY22, the company's consolidated net profit fell by 38% to Rs 1,058.20 crore.

On the BSE, the stock increased 0.38% to Rs 7,151.95.
