New rail line between Khurda Road and Balangir is being constructed
Indian Railways has stressed the connection of outlying towns in Odisha in addition to improving infrastructure development to increase passenger convenience.In order to connect the state's outlying communities, the railroads is moving quickly to complete the much-anticipated Khurda Road-Balangir new line between Khudra Road Junction and Balangir. The new line between Khurda Road and Balangir is 302 kilometres long.
The Khurda Road-Balangir train line received the largest grant, totaling Rs 8.91 billion, according to a report.
The East Coast Railway has finished work on the 115 km of track in an effort to finish the project on time. The Khurda Road–Balangir new line project's projected cost is Rs 37.91billion, according to the Ministry of Railways.
Once completed, the Khurda Road-Balangir new rail route will link rural communities in western Odisha and the state's coastline region with Bhubaneswar.
