Special allocation for metro rail projects in Agra and Kanpur
The metro rail projects in Agra, Kanpur, and the Delhi-Meerut RRTS project received a special allocation from the Uttar Pradesh government in its budget that was presented on Wednesday. A budgetary provision of Rs 5.85 billion was made for the Kanpur Metro Rail Project, and Rs 4.65 billion was made for the Agra Metro Rail Project," the government stated in a statement.According to the statement, Rs 13.7 billion have been proposed for the project of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor.
According to the statement, the government has also proposed investing Rs 1 billion in metro rail projects for Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and other cities.
