Bengaluru's KR Puram-Whitefield metro line inspected by CMRS

The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) completed the required inspection of the KR Puram-Whitefield metro line, and resultingly, Bangalore Metro Rail Company Ltd (BMRCL) and the Karnataka government anticipate launching the metro line shortly. The city’s IT hub travel is anticipated to be made easier by the 13-kilometer metro line.

According to BMRCL, the elevators, fire safety, and passenger display systems at every metro station were examined by a team led by the Commissioner Abhai Kumar Rai and the metro officials. The CMRS team will submit the findings soon, as the BMRCL will need 10 days to implement any recommendations.

Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, posted pictures of the metro rail travelling through the KR Puram and Whitefield areas on social media. He wrote, “CMRS inspection of the Metro coming from Hopefarm towards Kadugodi, making giant strides towards state-of-the-art infrastructure in Bengaluru. Our relentless pursuit to provide ease of living to our people continues.”

Whitefield, Channasandra, Kadugodi, Pattandur Agrahara, Sri Satya Sai Hospital, Nallur Halli, Kundalahalli, Seetharam Palya, Hoodi Junction, Garudacharpalya, Mahadevapura, and KR Puram are among the 12 metro stations on the KR Puram-Whitefield line. BMRCL had initially planned to begin operating the metro on this line by March of this year. A formal announcement on the opening of the KR Puram-Whitefield metro line is still pending.
