L1 bidder for Sherpur-Dighwara bridge announced by NHAI

SP Singla Constructions (SPSCL) was selected as the lowest bidder (L1) on March 17, 2023 for the 9.45 kilometer long bridge by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) (NH131G). This bridge is a part of the 137 kilometer Patna ring road project which is worth Rs 49.94 billion. The scope of the project comprises building a six-lane bridge over the Ganga as part of the Patna ring road (NH131G) in Bihar, which begins from 8.48 km near Sherpur and ends at 23.00 km near Dighwara.

This second bridge connecting the districts of Danapur and Saran will have six lanes and spans across the Ganga river. The project includes five kilometres of approach road on either side of the highway which connects NH-19 (Dighwara bypass road) and NH-30 (Danapur-Maner road) and has a total length of 14.52 km. The Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP) Lot-5/Package-7 detailed project report (DPR) was created by S.A. Infrastructure Consultants.

The purchase of 86.12 hectares of land for its construction cost Rs 3.16 billion, which was approved by the Bihar state government in February 2023. In 3.5 years, the project is supposed to be finished. engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode will be used for its implementation.
