Delhi-Dehradun Expressway to be open by January, assures CM

The chief minister gave the executing agencies specific instructions to finish the work by the deadline while paying close attention to quality.

He declared that NHAI would receive all required support from the state to expedite the construction of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in Uttarakhand and assure the project's timely completion. Also, it has been approved to work on the E-way at night. This motorway will make it possible to cut the distance between Delhi and Dehradun in half, to just 2-2.5 hours. Tourists from Delhi will soon be able to travel here with ease.

The project is moving forward quickly, and we guarantee that it will be finished by January 2024. According to him, the state's economy will experience a significant boost as a result of the rapid expansion of road connectivity in the region.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, the final 20 km of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway passes through an environmentally sensitive area of Rajaji National Park and is concerning because Asia's longest elevated wildlife corridor, measuring 12 km and including the 340-metre Daat Kali tunnel, is being built.
