UltraTech uses LNG trucks to transport cement

The deployment of its vehicles to UltraTech Cement's bulk terminal in Pune has been announced by Green Planet Logistics, India's first heavy trucking logistics company to use LNG fuel.

With this second deployment of GreenLine's LNG-powered fleet of trucks, following the initial deployment at its Awarpur Cement Plant near Nagpur, UltraTech is making progress in its commitment to sustainability and decarbonization of its operations. The company's sustainability goals will be far closer to being met with the deployment of LNG trucks. This development confirms UltraTech's intention to increase the LNG fleet at its facilities around the nation in the upcoming months.

In order to realise our aim of a cleaner environment, we at UltraTech are totally committed to working with our partners and stakeholders. We are devoted to building a sustainable future. Our partnership with GreenLine represents a significant advancement in our continuous efforts to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency, according to Tanmay Pradhan, AVP Logistics at UltraTech Cement.
