World-class experience at the New Chennai airport terminal

The state-of-the-art terminal, which spans a 1,36,295 sq. m. area and will increase the passenger serving capacity from 23 million passengers per annum (MPPA) to 30 MPPA, will be officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This terminal is a significant improvement to the city's infrastructure. It is anticipated to improve connectivity as well as the regional economy. Skylight is one of the terminal's distinctive features. This innovation enables the building's interior to be illuminated by natural light that has been captured.

An official who described the feature claimed that it "reduces energy usage and creates a space seem enlivening and airy."

With traditional elements like the Kolam (a pattern or design drawn in front of South Indian residences), sarees, temples, and other aspects that highlight the surrounding landscape, the new terminal is a spectacular expression of the local Tamil culture.

In the Chennai airport, travellers expressed their satisfaction with the recent change.

According to Nagrag, a traveller at the Chennai airport, "the new airport would be very advantageous to the people and will boost the local infrastructure in various ways."

Another traveller, frequent flyer Vaibhav Varun, who landed at Chennai Airport on Saturday from Delhi, said it is a good move in enhancing the traveller experience.
