Bihar Cabinet approves for construction of AIIMS-Darbhanga

The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Darbhanga would be built with the assistance of 3090 million approved by the Bihar government for soil filling and land levelling activities.

The AIIMS at Darbhanga, the second in Bihar after Patna, was approved by the Union government in September 2020 at an estimated cost of $12,640 million.

It will have 750 beds once it is up and running, along with several medical amenities. The new AIIMS is anticipated to be finished within 48 months after the project's commencement date.

Additionally, the cabinet gave its approval to the proposal to hire 2,832 constables who have successfully completed Promotional Training Courses (PTC) to conduct investigations at various police stations throughout the state.
