CM Ashok Gehlot approves Rs 35.25 bn for road projects in Rajasthan

The government of Rajasthan has approved Rs 35.25 billion for various road projects, including Rs 11.66 billion for roads in 694 villages in tribal and desert regions. According to an official statement, chief minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial provision of Rs 35.25 billion for more than 5,000 road development works in the state.

These projects include approval of Rs 18.70 billion for constructing non-patchable/missing link roads at a cost of Rs 100 million in each assembly constituency. Along with this, Rs 11.66 billion will be spent on 694 villages to build asphalt roads gradually connecting villages with more than 250 inhabitants in tribal and desert areas.

The chief minister has also made a financial provision of Rs 4.88 billion for 1,375 works of 96 urban bodies. It is notable that in the budget for the year 2023-24, various road development works were announced by the chief minister to strengthen the infrastructure in the state.
