RMZ Plan office project on Kamalistan Studio land

Persons with firsthand knowledge of the matter reported that the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and real estate developer RMZ Corp. have reached an agreement to build a commercial building on a 15-acre property lot in Mumbai that now houses the renowned Kamalistan Studio.

Kamalistan Studio, established in 1958 by director Kamal Arohi, is renowned for producing popular Bollywood films including Pakeezah, Razia Sultan, and Amar Akbar Anthony. It is situated in the Jogeshwari neighbourhood in western Mumbai.

RMZ Corp, based in Bengaluru, and CPP Investments announced in March 2022 that they had formed a joint venture to build and manage commercial office space in significant Indian cities.
